Wearing it and sending it back
Wear it as you normally would, then post it back in the prepaid satchel or hand it back in person by your return date.
Updated 6 October 2026
While the piece is with you, the booking says With you and counts down the days left. Your return date is on the booking, under Return by.
While you wear it
- You don't need to clean it. The lender handles all cleaning between rentals.
- Wear it as you normally would and treat it with care.
- Avoid heavy stains or alterations.
- Take a couple of photos before you send it back. Dated photos are your evidence if anything is questioned.
Post it back
Open the booking, or press Post it back on it in Bookings. The booking walks you through it under How to post it back:
- Pack it back up. Reuse the satchel or box it arrived in. No need to wash it.
- Drop it off. Your prepaid satchel or label says which carrier and where to drop it. For tracking, hand it in at the counter and ask for a receipt.
- Press I've posted it back by your return date, so the lender knows it's on its way.

If your last day falls on a weekend, post offices are closed, and the booking tells you which day to post it instead.
To add the tracking from your receipt, press Add return tracking on the booking, then Save return tracking. The lender can follow it from there.
No return satchel in the parcel, or lost it? Post it back with a tracked Express Post service, keep the receipt and add the tracking to the booking. Don't send it untracked. If the lender didn't include a satchel, tell us from the booking: providing one is the lender's job, and your return postage can be reimbursed.
Hand it back in person
For a pickup rental, meet the lender at the time you agreed in messages and hand it back by your return date. Then press I've returned it. The lender confirms they have it.
Late returns
Extensions aren't available yet, so plan to return it by your return date. Late returns can be charged per day, on the card you rented with. The booking shows Return due as the date gets close and Return overdue once it's passed.
After it's back
The booking says Returning while the parcel is on its way back. The lender has up to 48 hours to inspect the piece, then the booking closes as Completed.
Once it's done, Leave a review shows at the top of Bookings. Your review is published once the lender reviews you too, or when the review window closes.
