Take a break or a holiday

Going away? Schedule a break and no one can book your pieces for those dates. Your listings stay live.

Updated 6 October 2026

A break pauses new bookings for a set of dates. Your listings stay live, so renters still find your pieces. They just can't book those dates.

To block dates for just one piece, use Block dates on that piece instead. Confirmed bookings block their own dates automatically.

Open Lending settings and press Breaks under Bookings.

Schedule a break

  1. Under Schedule a break, press Dates. Tap a start date, then a return date, and press Done.
  2. Add Notes (optional) if you like, such as holiday or illness.
  3. Press Add break.

Before it's saved, Ourfit checks your bookings for those dates.

  • Nothing to hand over. It says you're clear. Press Schedule break.
  • A handover during your break. It says Heads up before you go and lists each booking, with the date to send it or when it's expected back. A break doesn't change bookings you already have. Plan to send before you leave, or receive it when you're back. Tap a booking to handle it, or press Schedule break anyway.

Change dates takes you back to the dates.

A break has a maximum length. If yours is too long, the page tells you the limit.

End a break

Your breaks show under Upcoming and active breaks. Press End break to remove one.
